Fashion Math - Mint & Orange

I saw this picture of Corrine Bailey a few weeks ago and have been obsessing over it ever since.

Image from 100 Inspirations

In the past I would have run out and tried to buy all these pieces.  But as I have learned from my Closet Project, more is not necessarily more.  So instead I am using her style as inspiration to create something similar using items I already own.

I remembered I had this dress (bought at H&M last year)

and these shoes (also from H&M, also from last year)

And then I did this.

Not exact but I was going for inspiration, not imitation.

I am pretty happy with how it turned out.  So I think I am going to make this a regular feature - Fashion Math.  Different from the Closet Project, this is not about streamlining my closet but making the most use of what I already have.

Dress, Necklace, Sunglasses & Shoes - H&M; Sweater - Vince (via Nordstrom Rack)

    1. Thanks! I am still coveting the combo from Corrine's outfit but I think mine is a close second.

  6. I love your dress! I love pleats and mint so a dress that has both is a winner in my books. Love your interpretation of this look and shopped from your wardrobe to boot!
